Who am I?

Photography perhaps found Isabella rather than her finding it. Influenced by her mother, once a social documentary photojournalist and now a media photographer, Isabella developed an in-depth understanding of photography. 

She believes that the process is as important as the Image. Each moment an interaction, a learning experience and a portrayal of communication between subject and photographer or photographer and viewer.

Her curiosity and compassion for wildlife, in particular, the smallest of nature's creatures, has led her into the realm of Macro Photography.

Awards & Recognitions

  • Hosted by the South Australian Museum (SAM) and Australian Geogrpahic. Isabella’s image “Hidden Courage”, “A fighter’s pause” and “Eye to Eye” exhibited alongside some of Australia’s top nature photographers in both the SAM and the Australian museum. Throughout 2021 and 2022 she exhibited as a finalist and in 2023 was excitedly titled the junior winner!

  • Ted’s Young Guns are a select group of Australia’s young top photographers who have a chance to share their passion and enthusiasm with photography lovers all over the country.

  • An all embracing national photographic awards event held over a 4 day conference. Isabella became a semi-finalist within the Nikon Digital Awards category of 2022.

  • Close-up Photographer of the Year (CUPOTY), supported by Affinity Photo 2, is a celebration of close-up, macro and micro photography. A global competition created to showcase images that help us see the world anew.
